Airing from 1941 to 1952, Inner Sanctum was one of the few horror radio shows to remain popular once the advent of television tore at the radio format.  The Inner Sanctum radio show would give birth to a television show in 1954 and a series of Universal Horror movies starring Lon Chaney Jr.
