curse5There comes a time in every franchise’s life where we have to let it go out into the world on it’s own and see if it will sink or swim.  In this episode, Ron and Jessica say good-bye to the four movies that make up The Curse franchise.

Discussion includes whether or not this is even a franchise, how to have made the franchise better, where it belongs as related to other franchises and Jessica’s new calmer lifestyle.

We will see how long that lasts.

curse 4The final movie in The Curse franchise, is surprisingly once again involving a curse. Kind of.  Let’s travel to a monastery in Italy where an ancient demon has been sealed into the walls of the monastery centuries ago.  Of course a girl comes along and ruins it!

Join Ron and Little Miss Horror Nerd as they cover the religious portion of The Curse franchise. Amongst the discussion are what is considered sacrilegious, why Jesus kills people, proper pacing of a religious horror film and Mr. Pitt from Seinfeld!

Episode 290: The Curse 3 – Blood Sacrifice

curse 3Stop me if you’ve heard this one…a cheerleader, a sea demon and Christopher Lee walk into Africa…and you get the Curse 3: Blood Sacrifice.  Whose blood?  That little detail is still undecided.  Join Ron and Little Miss Horror Nerd as they make their way through South Africa in search of witch doctors and goat sacrifices.

Elizabeth and her cane farming husband are going about their business, when Elizabeth’s sister stops a goat from being sacrificed in the local village, thus causing a curse on their family.  This isn’t any curse though as the curse calls forth a demon from the sea to do the witch doctors bidding…with a machete.  This ain’t your daddy’s sea creature!  It’s up to Christopher Lee to stop him!

Also on this podcast, Jessica discusses her fear of naked bodies and how they thoroughly gross her out, we discuss racism by the main white characters and have another battle in the long war between boring and bad.

curse2Somewhere in the deserts of Southwest America, a pair of lovebirds are cruising down the roads on their way to California, the land of freedom and beauty.  Of course, since they are starring in The Curse 2, they don’t quite make it.  There’s an awful lot of snakes, paranoia and gay cowboy bars in these parts and they don’t mix well with our couple.

Join Ron, Little Miss Horror Nerd and Bloody Brodie as they hop in the back of the truck with the birds to go along for the ride during Curse 2: The Bite.  Watch Jessica try to avoid the snake and learn if Brodie cries when he masturbates!   Also find out which star of MASH tries to jump in and save everyone! Join Ron and Little Miss Horror Nerd as they try not to drink the water that is contaminated from the meteor that fell to the ground and makes the well glow in the dark and boil up from the ground.  Also discussed hairy back sex, whether or not Jessica watched the movie, her prejudice against people of the farm and why wives want the D. It’s a well rounded episode.
