Hey zombies!  It’s that time of year again. The leaves are restless, being strewn about by a strong cold wind — the kind of wind that sinks into your bones. The night is a little darker.  You can feel the spirits lurking just behind the trees.

It’s All Hallow’s Eve!  It’s a time when the frightening is the norm and the spooks come out at night. We have collected the best of the best to bring you a king sized edition of our Halloween Grab Bag looking at not one, not two, but three Halloween specials.

In this episode, our expert Halloween panel of Ron, Little Miss Horror Nerd, Hammer and Channy Dreadful will explore the newest Halloween treat this year, Happy Halloween Scooby Doo.

Once they’ve finished with the latest Scooby Doo offering, the gang travels back in time to 1993 to take a look at a special before it’s time. A tree that holds the souls of people…

And finally, the team transports even further back in time to 1988 Buffalo, New York for a local newscast so scary, it had to go by it’s own name…The Mike Randall Very Scary Halloween Special!

We are going even a little further into our bag of Halloween treats to the sweet, sweet year of 1986. Some point to this year as the pinnacle of trick-or-treating success. Some just point to this year and laugh at the hairstyles.  They are jerks.

Regardless, this was the year of our Halloween movie of the week…

Mark Price tries to break out of his role of Skippy on Family Ties by carrying this film about backwards messaging on Heavy Metal albums. This was a real fear (of right wing conservative Midwest moms) of the time so of course, Hollywood is going to turn it into a feature film.

Does this semi-cult favorite still hold up in 2020?  Did it ever hold up? Can Ozzy Osborne and Gene Simmons save us all?! Ron and Little Miss Horror Nerd are about to find out on this edition of the podcast!

It’s Halloween night.  The wind is howling and dead leaves swirl at your feet. The streets are alive with trick-or-treaters and jack-o-lanterns!  There is fun, frolicking and death.  Death? Unfortunately for our souls, a demon has been released from it’s prison and is stalking the streets looking for victims.

The Halloween season is in full effect and we are in week two of our Halloween Extravaganza! This week our film that takes place on Halloween is The Scarehouse.

Two girls who play a prank while rushing a sorority are caught taking the blame when the prank goes fatally wrong — and they are pissed about it!  Revenge is the key component of The Scarehouse as the girls set up a scarehouse in order to extract it.

It’s time for our October 2020 Halloween Extravaganza!!!!

In the month of October, we will be bringing you a new episode every Saturday of a different film that takes place on Halloween night!

First up, the 1999 forgotten Tim Burton classic, Sleepy Hollow.

With a cast including Johnny Depp, Christina Ricci, Three Sith Lords, Dumbledore, Christopher Walken, and an amazing supporting cast, how can you go wrong?

We all know the legend of the Headless Horseman.  Add in a conspiracy, witchcraft and Jessica rambling on about how her head hurts and her butt for some reason and you get this episode — a look into a forgotten horror classic!
