Ten Things You Probably Didn’t Know About Fox’s Scream Queens!

The much anticipated Screams Queens from American Horror Story creators Brad Falchuk and Ryan Murphy debuted last Tuesday on Fox. I have been looking forward to this show since I first heard about it last year. I was confident it would be amazing knowing who the creators were. I wasn’t disappointed. This week, I decided to scour the Internet for the best juicy bits about all things Scream Queens.

1. Ryan Murphy has said that when he asked Jamie Lee Curtis to come on board to play Dean Munsch he informed her “And if you don’t do it , we’re not going to do the show.”

2. The SQ theme song “You Belong to Me” was written for the show by executive producer Alexis Woodall,  Heather Haywood who sings it, and composer Mac Quayle.

3. Emma Roberts character, Chanel No. 1, was inspired by an email from the executive board of the Delta Gamma sorority at University of Maryland that went viral. You can read the email here. It’s totally awful and hilarious at the same time.

4. Scream Queens really is hilarious. How does Jamie Lee keep herself from laughing during takes? She holds a push pin between her fingers and pushes very hard!

5. Skyler Samuels who plays Grace Gardener is a junior in college in her real life. She is also a member of a sorority. Let’s hope her real sorority sisters are nicer than her TV sisters!

6. Neicy Nash who plays inept security guard Denise Hemphill is not a horror fan and doesn’t not enjoy being scared!  But that’s ok because she knows how to make us laugh.

7. Although Scream Queens is an anthology series, the characters who survive Season One will move on to Season Two for a new setting and new mystery.

8. Only three people know who the killer is and those three do not include the actors. They do not even find out that they die until they receive that episode’s script.

9. Scream Queens was filmed at Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana.

10. Riley Schmidt, the man behind the devil suit in Scream Queens, also donned the Rubber Man suit for American Horror Story : Murder House. No, that is not a spoiler!

You can find the show on Twitter @ScreamQueens where you can find out how to get your face in the mirror!

If you aren’t watching — you are totally missing out.
