NETFLIX HORROR
Happy New Year! This week I give you a guide to my picks of the best horror on Netflix. In no particular order.
1. The Den (2013) Would you like to know what happens when social media is used for nefarious purposes? You will never look at your devices the same way again after watching this gem.
2. Contracted (2013) This is why you don’t leave the party with a boy you do not know!
3. April Fools Day (1986) Classic 80’s horror with a twist.
4. We Are What We Are (2013) Slow but steady this film about a family of cannibals will make you feel and think. I was left with the uneasy feeling that somewhere in this country there may be people living this way.
5. American Horror Story Season 1 – If you are not watching this show you should be. If you but came to the party late Season 1 is amazing. Ghost Rape, murder, suicide , Oh My!
6. Human Centipede (2009) I can’t stress this enough! There is NO POOP in this film. So if you are cowering behind your toliet tank avoiding this film, don’t. It’s creepy, disturbing, bleak and makes you think “What would I do? “
7. Dead End (2003) Just a nutty hyperactive little movie. You won’t see the end coming I promise!
8. The Taking of Deborah Logan (2014) I know we are all sick of possession and found footage films. However I felt this was a unique take on both. An old lady with Alzheimer’s may be possessed!
9. Hatchet (2006) A take on 80’s slashers this was a fun, gory, roll in the swamp.
10. The Caller (2011) A young woman with boyfriend troubles moves into an apartment alone. She begins receiving phone calls from someone who couldn’t possibly be alive. A bizarre, creepy, and unique tale.
